Mill & Pipeline Maintenance - Smoky Canyon (Afton, WY)

Summary

This role will work with higher classification to perform Preventive and Predictive maintenance, troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, and repair mill production equipment on an as needed basis.  Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild equipment components. This equipment includes mills, crushers, pumps, valves, cyclones and other equipment involved in the milling operation. This role is expected to continue to learn and prepare for openings in the higher classifications and accept added responsibilities in maintenance.

Typical Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• 3+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual. Must also have good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Basic computer skills are needed and basic knowledge of JD Edwards and Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, E-mail, etc) is a plus.
• Must be able to use the computerized analyzer and look up parts on the computer.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Measurements are used and must be able to convert from metrics to standard.
• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to determine if the problem is important enough to fix at the time or if the equipment can continue to be operated. 
• Must be willing to work as a team and must be courteous to your customer, the operators. Must be self-directed.
• Crawl on hands and knees into tight places. Climb on equipment ladders, and steps. Use hands to hold and lift objects. Lift up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. 
• Work will be done either inside or outside of the shop. High noise level and crowded spaces.  Experience all weather extremes as well as dusty, dirty, and greasy conditions. The employee will frequently work near moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level is moderate.
