About our role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager – Foodservice NSW to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity, reporting to our State Sales Manager Northern. This role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio across NSW, including State Key Accounts, Corporate Accounts and emerging QSRs. 

 

Your focus will be on maximising customer intimacy, driving product awareness, and ensuring adoption within a defined set of accounts and budgets. Working closely with internal teams – including Marketing Development, Product Management, and Distributor Partners. You will play a key role in building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions that grow our foodservice business.

What you will do

 

  • Drive profitable sales and volume by setting clear objectives for high-profile, high-volume accounts. 
  • Identify and capitalise on core and potential ranging opportunities to support ongoing growth. 
  • Use pricing strategies, trade spend, and relationship-building to gain market share from competitors and private brands. 
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Bidfood, PFD, and NAFDA. 
  • Analyse and develop prospects within major key accounts and ingredient channels, aligned with marketing strategies. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data to support prospecting, trials, and innovation. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resilience when engaging with executive chefs and decision-makers. 
  • Conduct strategic business reviews with major accounts and present new product lines. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute marketing plans and develop tailored approaches for customers. 
  • Work independently, managing your own schedule and territory with strong planning and organisational skills. 
  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and on time, including reporting and calendar updates. 
  • Continuously develop your skills and product knowledge to meet customer needs and stay informed on new innovations. 
  • Actively contribute to team goals in a collaborative environment.

About you

 

You are a driven sales professional with a proven track record of success, ideally with 5+ years in sales and experience in field-based account management. You thrive in a competitive environment, are highly resilient, and can work independently while managing challenging conversations with executive chefs and decision-makers.

 

You bring:

  • Strong sales ability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence with systems; Salesforce experience is desirable.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Bidfood, PFD, and NAFDA.
  • Foodservice experience is highly regarded, but transferable experience from FMCG or beverage industries will be considered.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing accounts, with robust negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivation, business acumen, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
