Process Operator Line 3 Portage GF

Summary

This job is responsible for operating equipment in the main processing line and performing upstream grading functions to meet operational goals and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

•   Ensures system control points within each unit operation are monitored and adjusted appropriately to meet operational goals and customer specifications. 
• Coordinates the line flow through processing functions including, but not limited to: peeler, blanching, ingredient addition, drying, frying, freezing, budget pounds, recovery, oil usage, retail percent, and energy conservation.
• Ensure that other process data is monitored and recorded in Manufacturing Management Suite [MMS].
• Ensures operational procedures are efficiently and safely followed.
• Ensures necessary level of communication is maintained with team members and support groups regarding line conditions. 
• Uses process control to maintain uniformity, color, texture, solids, product temperatures, defect loading, weights, and freezing.
• Ensures the correct and accurate completion of all written paperwork required of the position.
• Reports food safety and safety hazards to proper personnel and follows up to ensure corrections.  Keeps work areas clean and completes all sanitation tasks assigned, including during shut-down clean-ups and start-up sanitation. 
• Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. 
• Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge. 
• Ensure the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.

General Education Degree (GED)
