We currently have an Internship, Energy Engineering position open at our AgriBusiness Engineering, Manufacturing and Technology Office in Pocatello, Idaho. This Internship will last from 6 to 7 months beginning in May/June 2023 ending in December 2023.
Overview:
This position will contribute to energy efficiency, growth, environmental compliance, and sustainability by providing assistance with various electrical & thermal energy management and capital improvement projects. Engineering knowledge and principles will be applied to assist the AgriBusiness Energy Manager, Energy Engineers, and Site Energy Teams to improve production and energy use within the operating facilities.

Pocatello, Idaho:
Pocatello is located in southeast Idaho near the western foothills of the Rocky Mountains along the Oregon Trail. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Engineers and Site Energy Leads in gathering data, performing cost and related financial payback analysis, implementing projects, and performing post implementation audits
- Assist Engineers and Site Energy Leads with various systems surveys, non-capital improvements, metering, and other low-cost efficiency initiatives
- Assist project management for capital upgrades of existing electrical, thermal, and fuel systems. This may include high-pressure steam systems, heavy mining equipment, process equipment, and electrical systems components
- Track and communicate energy performance using multi-variable regression analysis and statistical methods
- Improve energy efficiency awareness and culture through the utilization and development of communication and training platforms
- Develop time management skills for effective project completion
- Develop written and verbal communication skills
Typical Education
- Must be enrolled in an Academic Engineering program, from a nationally accredited educational facility/university
- Must be at least a Junior or above, or a recent graduate in a discipline of Mechanical, Chemical, Mine, Electrical, Nuclear or Industrial Engineering
Relevant Experience
- Candidate must be willing to learn process operation and work in an industrial setting
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment
- Fluent in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
Required Certifications
Valid driver's license
Other Information
- Duration: This is a full-time Internship that will last from 6 to 7 months beginning in May/June 2024 ending in December 2024 (with the potential for part-time). There is a possibility for January - August 2024.
- This position may offer a small relocation benefit
