The opportunity

 

  • WA territory – north of the river

  • Permanent full time, 37.5 hours pw

  • Iconic Australian brands including Leggo’s, Edgel, John West, Birdseye, I&J

 

A great opportunity exists to join our commercial division as a Sales Representative, based in Perth, Western Australia. You will be responsible for maximising sales objectives and sales targets to assist in the achievement of marketing strategies along with maintaining the distribution of Simplot's branded products within your territory.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. This role will cover a diverse portfolio of IGA Spud Shed and Farmer Jack’s stores, north of the river. There is some travel involved in the role, approx. 2 – 3 times per year to WA country.

What you will do

 

Reporting to the State Field Manager WA, you will be responsible for maximising the distribution of the Company’s branded products within your territory to assist in the achievement of marketing, sales objectives and sales targets.    

 

Your duties will include but not limited to:

 

  • Managing Simplot’s independent customers – IGA Spud Shed and Farmer Jack’s

  • Ensuring sales and field plans are executed in each store

  • Implementing trade standards

  • Gaining distribution of Simplot lines

  • Building strong ongoing relationships with your customers

  • Providing appropriate services to meet objectives

  • Building & Maintaining Displays

  • Ensuring all Simplot SKU's are on show with correct facings

  • Achieve Territory KPI’s and Field Drive Incentives

What you will bring

 

  • Previous Sales experience is essential
  • Previous experience in Supermarket / FMCG
  • Understanding of ‘Stay in Front’ system would be beneficial, but not required
  • Basic computer skills, MS Suite
  • Merchandising experience is not essential but would be highly regarded
  • Efficient planning skills, energetic and driven approach
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders internal and external
