Summary
The Warehouse Lead supervises warehouse employees on an assigned shift, maintains an orderly and efficient warehouse atmosphere while verifying all warehouse projects are completed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily tasks and assignments of forklift operators
- Supervises the product placement in the warehouse, shipping orders, receiving orders and all required paperwork
- Serves as liaison between the forklift operators and Warehouse Manager and Supervisor
- Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations as related to the warehouse and inventory
- Trains and coaches forklift operators on all warehouse policies and procedures including working safely
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Able to cover the clerk position and other warehouse areas as needed
Typical Education
| High school diploma or general education degree (GED) |
Relevant Experience
| 1+ years related experience and/or training |
Other Information
- Preferred one year plus related experience in warehousing
- Good knowledge of computer systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
