Summary

The Warehouse Lead supervises warehouse employees on an assigned shift, maintains an orderly and efficient warehouse atmosphere while verifying all warehouse projects are completed correctly.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinates daily tasks and assignments of forklift operators
Supervises the product placement in the warehouse, shipping orders, receiving orders and all required paperwork
Serves as liaison between the forklift operators and Warehouse Manager and Supervisor
Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations as related to the warehouse and inventory
Trains and coaches forklift operators on all warehouse policies and procedures including working safely
Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Experience in food or agricultural warehousing preferred.
Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, SAP, WMS).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions, including cold or hot storage areas.
