Relief Operator (Swing Shift) Pasco, WA

These endeavors have been around for centuries and will continue to be a vital part of the global economy. We currently have a Relief Operator position at our Simplot facility in Pasco, WA.

Key Responsibilities

· Communicates with production and maintenance personnel over a radio and receives direction on the operation of machinery

· Operates and oversees the operation of a vegetable processing line on a specific shift

· Observes and reports any mechanical issues to the Supervisor or maintenance department

· Ensures proper flow of product on each line that that production goals are being met

· Reports any issues to the Production Lead or Processing Supervisor

· Assists with any other production related duties including general labor duties and sanitation of the processing equipment and facility as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent. 

Relevant Experience

· 1 to 2 years work experience in the food processing industry preferred

Other Information

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Minimum 18 years of age

· Ability to wear personal protective equipment including, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, rain coat, pants and gloves for cleaning

· Ability to stand for 10-12 hours at a time

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Ability to bend and stoop

· Ability to climb steps and ladder

· Ability to work with an around industrial chemicals and cleaners

· Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends and overtime
