Seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse Support (CDL w/Endorsements) - New Iberia

Summary
Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities which primarily includes delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers. At times will be required to manage inventory counts, drive a forklift, tend to equipment/maintenance work, and operate the fertilizer blending systems.
Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibility to include loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers while operating different size vehicles. Maintains and operating company assigned vehicles according to state and federal DOT/DMV standards regarding safe transportation of non-hazardous and hazardous materials including proper HAZMAT placarding when required. Maintains accurate pre and post trip driver’s logs and inspection sheets according to state and federal DOT requirements.
Responsible for general maintenance on company assigned trucks, trailers, and forklifts which may include but is not limited to replenishing fluid levels, tire wear and air pressure monitoring, monitor vehicles general operational systems, assisting location manager with scheduling state inspection requirements, maintaining and scheduling routine service and maintenance, keeping inside and outside of vehicle clean and presentable.
Operate fertilizer blending systems, recordkeeping related to inventory and product storage, and monitoring product application by calculating amounts.
Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed.
Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Relevant Experience
1+ years related experience and/or training
Required Certifications
Must possess a Class A or B driver’s license with endorsements to haul hazmat material and chemicals , as well as have the proficiency to operate various types of vehicles to include but not limited to tender trucks, tankers, hoppers, tractor trailer, forklift, skid steers.
