About Our Role

Are you passionate about building relationships, driving sales, and making an impact in-store? If so, this Sales Representative opportunity to join a team behind some of Australia’s most loved brands - Birds Eye, Edgell, Leggo’s, John West, and Chiko.

 

This is a full-time, salaried position that includes a tool-of-trade vehicle, giving you the flexibility to manage your day on the road. Reporting to the State Field Manager, you’ll be responsible for servicing grocery customers across a territory spanning Melbourne’s Western Suburbs - such as Footscray, Melton, Point Cook, and Hoppers Crossing - with regional travel to Ballarat, Warrnambool, Bacchus Marsh, and coastal areas like Apollo Bay and Anglesea. 
 

This is a 100% field-based role with which includes overnight regional travel. 

 

What You'll Do

In this role, success means delivering exceptional in-store execution and building strong partnerships. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Execute sales and field plans to achieve distribution and sales targets across your territory
  • Implement planograms and optimise shelf space for Simplot products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store teams and internal stakeholders
  • Drive promotional activity - pre-sell, set up, and monitor compliance for new lines and seasonal campaigns
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide timely insights to the business
  • Use Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools effectively for reporting and data managemen
  • Attend cycle meetings and training sessions to stay ahead of market trends and initiatives

 

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy being on the road, making an impact where it counts. You bring:

  • Proven experience in field sales, ideally within FMCG or supermarket environments
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Competence with digital tools and reporting systems (SFA experience is a plus)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn 
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across planning, reporting, and execution
