About our Role

At Simplot Australia, we believe in the power of customer-led decision making. As our new National Account Executive - Coles, you’ll help ensure the voice of our customers drives how we deliver on our full-year targets and strategic priorities. This role is designed as a development pathway into National Account Management, giving you exposure to the fundamentals of joint business planning and category management at scale.

 

Reporting to the Account Director Coles, you will work closely with the Coles National Account Team to deliver key performance metrics and play a critical role in promotions administration, forecasting, and analytical support - all while learning from experienced leaders and building the skills for your next career step. 

 

What You Will Do

In this role, you’ll contribute to key business outcomes by supporting the National Account Team and driving execution across planning, analysis, and customer engagement. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Deliver actionable insights through category analysis, performance reporting, and post-launch reviews
  • Manage promotional programs and trade spend administration with precision and timeliness
  • Prepare and present internal and external business reviews that influence decision-making
  • Maintain customer portals and ensure data accuracy across pricing, NPD, and trade elements
  • Coordinate field team communications and support in-store activation planning
  • Participate in joint business planning and category reviews to build account management capability 

 

About You

You’re a commercially minded, proactive professional with a strong foundation in FMCG sales and a clear ambition to grow. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to bring:

 

  • 1–3 years’ experience in FMCG sales or account/field management, ideally with exposure to major retailers
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret data, forecast accurately, and support strategic decisions
  • Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Power BI, Salesforce, and scan data analysis is highly regarded
  • Confidence managing promotional spend and reporting, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear, professional communication and presentation skills across written and verbal formats
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset - you take initiative, solve problems, and thrive in collaborative environments
