About Our Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FP&A Analyst with a strong management accounting background to join our team at our head office in Mentone. Reporting to the Finance Manager - Commercial FP&A, you will play a key role in month-end activities, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for our Commercial division. This includes the provision of timely and insightful information and analysis to support decision making and strategic priorities.

What You Will Do

• Prepare accurate and timely reporting for the Commercial team, including variance analysis and commentary, to support decision making
• Support the monthly IBP forecast and annual budget process, by helping to ensure data inputs deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial outputs
• Play a key role in driving SG&A cost efficiency across the Commercial team, through forecasting, reporting and analysis of key expense accounts
• Provide accounting and system support for Commercial related month-end tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and other areas of Finance, providing information and business support as required
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency 

About You

• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting and financial analysis
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar industry role or large / mid-tier firm
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with month-end processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
• A proactive, curious mindset with a continuous-improvement focus
• Confident with accounting systems and BI tools (PowerBI)
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
