About our Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AP Process Lead to join Simplot on a 2-year contract and play a key role in our global ERP transformation.

Based at Chifley Park, Mentone and reporting to the Global AP Process Lead, this newly created role has been established to provide dedicated local leadership for the Accounts Payable workstream as Simplot prepares for its first major SAP S/4HANA deployment in Australia. 

Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, IT and Change Management, you will help bridge local business requirements with global process design, ensuring successful implementation outcomes and setting the foundation for future deployments across the Asia Pacific region. 

What you will do

As the AP Process Lead, you will lead the Accounts Payable workstream within Simplot's global SAP S/4HANA transformation, partnering with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose processes, systems and ways of working.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design future-state Accounts Payable processes.
• Leading process design, build and implementation activities aligned to global standards.
• Collaborating with Finance, Procurement, IT, Change Management and implementation partners to deliver project outcomes.
• Supporting system integration, testing and issue resolution to ensure business requirements are met.
• Contributing to training, change adoption, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
• Identifying data, reporting and process requirements to support effective and efficient operations.
• Driving continuous stakeholder engagement to ensure local needs are represented and aligned with Simplot's global process framework.

About you

You are a collaborative and commercially-minded finance professional with proven experience in Accounts Payable and process improvement within a complex business environment. You thrive in transformational settings, enjoy working across multiple stakeholder groups, and have the ability to translate business requirements into practical process and system solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Shared Services or a related process-focused role.
• Experience working within ERP environments, with exposure to SAP/S4 HANA viewed favourably.
• Strong process improvement, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes.
• The confidence to facilitate workshops, influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and change management skills, with the ability to support and engage users through periods of transformation.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or other complex operational environments will be highly regarded.
