About our role

The J.R. Simplot Company is on a greenfield SAP S/4 HANA ERP global transformation journey to support our current business and provide a unified platform that will take us into the future.  With that we are rolling out Ariba across the globe and connecting it to SAP S/4 HANA. Each team member contributes to building solutions by utilizing the vast array of SAP products to support our business objectives.

We are currently looking for innovative and driven Functional Analyst to join the existing team and contribute to all future business objectives. The Functional Analyst are directly responsible for the systems or modules that are in their area and must have the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences. This is a permanent full time role, 37.5 hours per week based in our office in Mentone. 

What you will do

• Guide and participate in configuration in your process area
• Work with team members in the US to ensure that a global process is followed
• Ensure the consulting team members of your process area follow program expectations
• Represent your process area in design and build sessions and solutioning
• Participate and contribute to daily stand-up meetings with a small agile development team in a quest to rapidly deploy new solutions on the S4 platform and tangential systems.
• Utilize agile methodologies for continuous delivery of solutions.  Rapid deployment and validation of solutions components is a must.
• Design, configure, and test developed solutions and collaborate with agile team peers on the scope of the solution.
• Participate in continuous discovery of new solutions that will utilize the SAP Product Suite already procured by Simplot. 
   

About you

• Proven experience as an SAP Functional Analyst or IT Business Analyst in relation to SAP FICO.
• Working knowledge of the new Fiori tools is preferred and S/4HANA experience is helpful (1809,1909,2020).
• Good understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and non-SAP Products and when to utilize these patterns when enabling a business process is preferred. 
• Good understanding of the development lifecycle utilization of SAP Solution Manager and how it will be utilized in a Dev/Ops environment is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and verbal and written communication skills is required.
• Good understanding of standards, guidelines, and best practices to be used during development is required. 
   

Desired Skillset

• Understanding of SAP S4 HANA Financial and Controlling Organizational structures and concepts and set up of the following - Operating concern, Controlling area, Company codes and integration with logistics elements.
• Understanding of S4 HANA ledger setup using parallel currencies, Multi valuation ledgers.
• Good knowledge of General ledger accounting, Tax processing, and working knowledge of various month end closing processes.
• Good knowledge of Asset accounting in S4 HANA with Integrated asset acquisitions and depreciation postings.
• Good knowledge of Order to Cash process flow cycle with integrations to credit management and Accounts receivable.
• Good knowledge of Procure to pay process with Accounts Payable, Automatic payment programs and Setup, VIM
• Understanding of various touch points in SAP controlling modules like standard cost planning, Activity types, Product costing, Margin analysis and Month end closing.
• Understanding of Intercompany flows from logistics to Accounting and controlling.
• Understanding of key Integrations with logistics modules and automatic account determinations.
• Ability to write functional specs and design custom objects for business specific requirements and work with development teams.
• Overall working knowledge of various ecosystems that connects with SAP S4 HANA business Suite.
