Plant Accounting Manager (Mendoza, AR)

Summary

This role is responsible for leading the plant’s accounting function, ensuring proper collection, analysis, and reporting of financial and operational information. It acts as a strategic partner for plant management, providing advice for decision-making through data analysis and interpretation. Additionally, it ensures compliance with internal controls, supports audits, and optimizes processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of operational and capital plans with plant management, including analysis, interpretation, and justification of costs.
• Prepare and consolidate the plant’s annual budget.
• Track capital projects and manage the plant’s fixed assets.
• Prepare operating cost reports and conduct weekly and monthly variance analyses.
• Monitor deviations, support plant managers, and explain variances to local and global leaders.
• Ensure accuracy in MRO inventory.
• Lead the plant finance team, promoting development and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Monitor internal controls, evaluate their effectiveness, and implement improvements to optimize processes and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and corporate standards.
• Provide support in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and corporate standards.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics departments to ensure proper cost allocation.

Typical Education

• Certified Public Accountant or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in manufacturing companies, preferably in food or frozen products.
• Knowledge of SAP (preferably).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate with multiple departments.

Required Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant
