Embryology Lab Technician - Kuna Meat Plant

Summary

This role works under the direction of an Embryologist in support of departmental research and production objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with invitro bovine embryo production, cattle genetics, and R&D
  • Potential to be assigned the responsibility for planning, organizing, setting up, executing, and reporting results forexperiments that support R&D research and production projects.
  • Potential to be assigned to work semi-independently to organize and manage small projects with approval, guidance,and mentoring from an Embryologist.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

1+ year of related scientific coursework and/or experience

Required Certifications

Other Information

  • Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills, validating and contributing to team documentation
  • Basic time management and planning skills
  • Basic understanding of office computer tools, e.g., word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, presentations
  • Can apply critical thinking skills to solving problems and some technical aptitude
  • Ability to interface with vendors for support and maintenance
  • Ability to gather and disseminate information, analysis and technical solution recommendations in support ofteam efforts
