Stockroom Attendant (Crew A) Grand Forks

Summary
This role will ensure the proper receiving, stocking and inventory of parts and materials. This job also assists with the issuing and completing of purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate inventory files and records.
- Ensures that all documents are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to, routing, posting, and filing.
- Ensures materials received are reconciled with packing slips and purchase orders, and that these documents are signed, dated, and routed appropriately and in a timely manner. Also responsible to see that materials are moved to the appropriate storage area, and/or that notification of requesting party takes place.
- Ensures materials issued are posted to inventory records.
- Ensures the shipment of outbound goods is handled according to Simplot’s policies and procedures.
- Ensures inventories are maintained at desired levels and valued accurately. This includes performing cycle counts, as directed.
- Ensures communication (written and verbal) to other plant personnel is appropriate, accurate, timely, and courteous. This includes handling of switchboard functions, when necessary.
- Administers issuance of Simplot-owned tools.
- Ensures that stockroom and office areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Typical Education
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant Experience
- Able to read and comprehend Bill of Ladings, Manifests, Receiving Records and inventory records.
- Able to write required information on Purchase Order Requests, Receiving Records and Bill of Ladings.
- Able to apply basic math skills when writing and editing purchase order requests and receiving records, checking shipments against Manifests, performing inventory counts and calculating weights for materials.
- Able to use computers for data entry.
- Able to effectively communicate on the phone with and in person with customers, vendors, supervisors, employees and maintenance personnel.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with detailed information.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to learn to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and support groups.
