Forklift Line Service (Crew A) Grand Forks GF

Summary

This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift Line Service employees are required to be cross trained with Materials and Inventory Coordinators and are able to perform functions within their security role
• Ensures there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (including Standard Operating Procedures) and policies.
• Food Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Attend and participate in all training activities for the position.  Ensure the acquired skills and knowledge are applied.
• Ensures sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the entire facility.
• Ensures self-compliance with Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Must be a team player and help to meet operational goals.
• Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensures that personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the Company.
• Performs all such other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Manager.
• Must be able to complete training on the safe operation of the lift truck (forklift) and successfully pass the certification test requirements. This training and certification are requirements in accordance with OSHA 1910.78 standards for Material Handling and Storage using Powered Industrial Trucks
• Ensures proper inspection of forklift.
• Maintains freezer by locating and moving totes as needed.
• Inventories freezer totes as required.
• Required to change out totes and store in freezer during bulk off situations and during times of bulk generation
• Ensures all packaging supplies (paper, poly, bulk product, and fiber) are maintained.
