Summary

This position assists in maintaining the upkeep of the Caldwell Simplot Transportation Terminal property and the Idaho Plant property.

Key Responsibilities

This position works five days per week with daily on the job hours ranging from 8 – 10 hours, as needed to complete job assignments. This is a very independent position that would require an individual that is self-sufficient and can manage their time wisely. Additionally, once hired, one will need to obtain Simplot forklift, Telehandler, Loader, and Smith Systems Certifications. The training for these will be provided.

  • Operates telehandler forklift to complete daily duties, such as lifting equipment and/or supplies to roof of ID Plant.
  • Assists with seasonal snow removal, deicing, ice melts, and snow blowing
  • Assists with seasonal summer projects, painting, brooming, striping, building washing
  • Assists in fueling and preventative maintenance/greasing on medium and heavy-duty equipment, such as skid steers, loaders, back hoes, rollers, dozers, blade, forklifts, snow removal equipment.
  • Keeps the Terminal, fuel island, and Idaho Plant grounds free of trash and weeds
  • Sweeps the fuel island and places oil waste in barrel
  • Cleans left over potatoes out of the trailers
  • Cleans inside of the bulk fuel storage
  • Stocks Caldwell VIR, log, and envelops
  • Keeps all fuel and DEF cabinets, hoses, and nozzles clean
  • Shuttles Truck Drivers to and from the Idaho Plant when needed
  • Back up labor for the Equipment Operator crew when short handed

  • Equipment Operator 2 years
  • Forklift Operator 2 years
