Senior Supply Chain Intelligence Analyst- Boise, ID

Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst Expert will support the design, development, and management of strategic, tactical, and operational analytical solutions creating a competitive advantage by leveraging supply chain statistical and management analytics and technology to improve service level, reduce operational costs and support capital programs across a broad set of functions.  This position will partner with cross-functional stakeholders such as Logistics, Integrated Business Planning, and Customer Fulfillment to be a trusted advisor and instrumental in developing creative, persistent solutions to answer complex global business questions. Exceptional candidates will have a comfort and ease building relationships and interfacing autonomously with all levels of business users and have proficiency using various statistical methodologies, business intelligence tools, and network modeling and simulation software such as Power BI and Llamasoft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use data science to perform statistical, quantitative, optimization and financial analyses and operations research to build business cases and then develop capabilities such as supply chain digitization, linear programming, automation, and predictive data modeling, including discovery and innovation around emerging supply chain technologies.
  • Design and develop compelling and accessible management KPIs and relevant dashboards and perform ad-hoc analyses to identify tactical and strategic ways to improve service level and/or reduce operational costs, waste, and obsolescence across all operational functions.
  • Provide root cause analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions via digestible documents and management presentations.
  • Drive activities from concept, through scoping, analysis, and execution including project leadership to deliver capital programs and other large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Direct and mentor subordinate Supply Chain Intelligence Analysts in business process for each operations area (Logistics, Supply and Demand Planning, Customer Fulfillment) as well as technical skill development to lift the effectiveness of team performance.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

 

Relevant Experience

8+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

Microsoft Fabric Certification(s)- preferred, not required 

Other Information

  • Strong analytical skills, structured conceptual thinking, and statistical acumen in optimization, linear programming, network planning, time series and regression algorithms. Familiarity with AI algorithms is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex statistical concepts to non-technical audience. 
  • Development experience with data and visualization/BI tools such as SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau required. Experience in development tools such as Python, R, SAS, VBA, etc. beneficial. 
  • Experience with ERP, logistics, supply chain planning and/or network optimization modeling systems required (Logility, SAP APO/IBP and/or Llamasoft experience beneficial).
  • Familiarity with core logistics and supply chain functions and underlying processes (e.g., plan to produce, procure to pay, order to cash, etc.) and a strong understanding of KPIs and related drivers for each.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving meaningful improvements in supply chain operations with quantifiable positive impact on P&L.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing parallel analytical workstreams and priorities with multiple stakeholders and aggressive timelines.
  • Prefer master’s degree, APICS certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.
