Summary

The Senior Director of People Services is a key leadership position on the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT). The role will set the strategy for a team of HR professionals and ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. This leader will work closely with the HRLT to develop and implement strategy and policies that support a positive work culture, streamline HR operations and ensure the organization delivers on our HR strategy across the globe.

With a focus on operational excellence, this role will blend strategic planning with hands-on HR management and leading the teams who provide centralized support for: HR Policies and Procedures, Payroll and Timekeeping, HR Technology (Our HCM MySimplot, UKG Timekeeping and ADP Payroll), HR reporting and analytics, HR Compliance Management and Employee Benefits administration.

A key priority in this role will be establishing metrics to measure HR program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, contributing to the success and sustainability of the organization.  This role is the product owner of our critical people systems and works closely with technology partners to ensure stability, continuity and enhancements of our technological capabilities.

The Senior Director, People Services will bring strong business acumen and a solutions-driven mindset, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to address business needs in a rapidly evolving environment. The role requires an inspirational leader with proven experience in both strategic advising and tactical execution. They will have demonstrated success in leading HR teams, implementing HR best practices, and delivering measurable results in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Exceptional coaching and influencing ability, high emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex issues across the organization are also critical for success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute the strategic vision for HR People Services, aligning with the overall HR and business strategy.  Lead and coach a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Service Delivery & Process Improvement: Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services, including payroll, benefits administration, employee data management, and HR systems.  Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in HR operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR business partners, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions that support business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, mitigating risks associated with HR operations.
  • HR Systems, Reporting and Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to measure performance, identify trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university in Human Resources or Business; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

 

Experience Details

10+ years progressive Leadership experience, with at least 5 years in senior global or enterprise-wide role.

Required Certifications

Bachelor’s degree, HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) and/or project management certification (e.g., PMP)
