Senior Cost Accountant

Summary
This role determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
- Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
- Performs accounting for price variances and overhead recovery on a regular basis.
- Updates standard costs on a regular basis; sets up standard costs for new products.
- Responsible for closing activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and approved journal entries.
- Preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts.

Relevant Experience
| 5+ years related experience and/or training |
Other Information
CPA, CMA, MBA preferred. This is a senior-level position to the Cost Accounting job family requiring a comprehensive understanding of Accounting fundamentals and principles. Work is varied and complex. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
