Summary

This role is responsible for the support of physical security systems globally, including but not limited to, access control, surveillance, visitor management, mass communication, and related security technologies. Key duties include overseeing global project management & vendor management for installations, upgrades, repairs, software maintenance, and licensing. The position also provides day-to-day technical support, training, and consultation to site personnel, ensuring seamless operation and allowing business units to stay focused on their core objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for managing technical work orders related to camera systems, access control, visitor management, and other physical security technologies at Simplot locations globally. This includes identifying and resolving issues with access control software and camera systems by collaborating with vendors and internal departments to troubleshoot and update hardware and software.

· Manages physical security projects globally including new installations, enhancement requests, upgrades, and system conversions, while aligning Company processes and standards. Projects will range in size and complexity.

· Ensures consistent communication with customers, follows budget requirements, and develops project timelines for timely execution.

· Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to develop and refine procedures, ensuring effective coordination of access control and camera system projects. Partners closely with IT MMT & Site Support, Networking, EH&S, HR, Procurement, and location management to ensure successful planning, execution, and integration of security solutions.

· Evaluates and makes recommendations on the installation of access control devices, cameras, and other hardware as well as the implementation of corresponding policies and procedures.

· Supports licensing, software maintenance, upgrades, and configuration for physical security applications. Coordinates with internal customers, departments, and vendors. Issues purchase orders as appropriate.

· Develops training resources and provides training sessions as requested for internal customers.

· Seeks continuous learning opportunities to further refine processes and provides system/process recommendations to Simplot locations on security system best-practices for a proactive approach.

· Takes ownership and executes other Facilities-related work orders, tasks, and functions as assigned.

· Develops and maintains physical security system procedures, workflows, how-to guides, and other reference resources. Provides routine training sessions and hosts open office hours for system administrators.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Project Management, IT or related field. Project Management Certification (PMP) or willingness to obtain.

Relevant Experience

3+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

· Demonstrated understanding of Facilities, Security Systems, Project Management, or an IT related field with the ability to address moderately complex issues.

· Experience in one or more physical security systems is preferred.

· Experience with writing & developing policies, procedures, and training resources is preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, contributing to project management & customer service.

· Can apply critical thinking skills to solving problems and a strong technical aptitude.
