Summary
The Procurement Business Manager role is responsible for oversight of SGS 3rd Party Supplier business management functions, and for providing support to a $1.5B Crop Protection Procurement organization. Leads a multi-tiered team of 3 senior analysts (direct report) and 3 staff analysts (non-direct report) to execute strategic project-based initiatives, perform complex report development and analysis, maintain on-going supplier rebate and reporting functions, and transact and reconcile a variety of transactions. Oversees data integrity for product master data to ensure accurate reporting to both internal and external business partners and aid in data-driven procurement decisions. Acts as liaison between Procurement and I.T. to facilitate data, system, and reporting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales, perform COGS and rebate variance analysis, develop reports, financial analysis to support Management and Accounting. Analyze and report accruals associated with multi-million-dollar supplier rebate programs.

Work with staff on various issues, provide strategic leadership, drive departmental goals, provide direction and coaching.

Manage supplier and EDI reporting functions, crop year end, interface with I.T. to develop reports, partner with 3rd party providers and platforms for reporting.

Develop forecasting and demand planning process and tools using historical data and trends.

Partner with internal and external groups to drive process improvement, manage master data, gather and implement reporting requirements. Liaison between Procurement and internal departments to direct and correct transactions.

Oversee $300M of complex supplier rebate programs including accruals, collection, and allocation. Reconcile rebates and finalize programs, providing routine estimates to accounting and management.

Oversee monthly EDI reporting and crop year-end reconciliation of sales and inventory. Report and finalize loyalty and material balance reports per supplier requirements and deadlines to maximize rebate program payments.

Assist with critical data inputs for 3rd Party Supplier Price Books providing guidance for field pricing structure.

Manage supplier working capital programs including inventory protection and price protection processes.

Develop and maintain complex reporting tools, sales and margin reports, inventory and sales forecasting models, and supply and demand reports.

Ensure correct transactional processes and downstream reporting by working closely with a variety of departments including credit, accounting, business solutions, FP & A, and field management.
Typical Education
Master’s degree (M.A. or M.S.) or equivalent
Relevant Experience
10+ years related experience and/or training
Required Certifications
Financial or Accounting Certifications Preferred
Other Information
Prior experience with Supplier EDI/Reporting and Rebate Programs in the Agricultural industry highly desired. Ability to manage self and staff to achieve competing priorities and deadlines. Ability to multi-task and quickly switch between various aspects of the position and work collaboratively to accomplish tasks. Financial background, ability to analyze and interpret data, and aptitude for systems is imperative for success in this role. Experience managing staff and providing leadership.
