The International Services Manager leads all initiatives that oversee end to end order management and logistics to support the international movement of goods, while ensuring all processes remain compliant to identified rules and regulations. This position will resolve major or reoccurring issues within each functional area and ensure efficient end to end management of orders through shipment and delivery at destination. The International Services Manager will be responsible in leading a team of specialists and Sr. specialists in managing day to day orders and shipment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned International Services personnel in order management and logistics related tasks. Instructs and monitors the work of direct team members and ensures their ongoing development to support current and future business needs while maintaining a highly motivated team environment. Promotes full cross functional training for department, workload balancing, and providing backup where needed.
  • Provide first level escalation of shipment issues.
  • Ownership of issue visibility and communication to other teams and issue resolution at an order level.
  • Provide support, lead trainings, and education for new hires and ongoing employee development.
  • Effectively interfaces with Warehousing, Sales Operations, Logistics/Drayage, Demand, Global Trade and Regulatory Compliance, Deployment team, and ocean carriers to ensure our international customers receive the required service, in an efficient and cost-effective manner that meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and oversee the monitoring and evaluation of Key Performance Metrics related to both international orders and Logistics. Identify areas needing improvement and manage escalation and communication of results to their leadership.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert on order management and logistics processes.  Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems with internal and external partners.  Identifies and implements business and/or system process improvements.  

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

Other Information

Comprehensive knowledge of ERP, IOS, international documentation, and pricing/deduction systems.  Ability to supervise, coach, motivate, and give direction to mid-level personnel. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and across other departments. Advanced knowledge in supply chain, logistics, communication, planning, interpersonal skills, and organizational skill. Advance computer skills, including MS Office Suite.  Ability to resolve complex problems and provide quick solutions to issues within logistics and end to end order management in an international shipping environment.
