Full Stack Software Engineer (Boise, ID)

The Full Stack Software Engineer will work with product owners, designers and other developers as we build a best-in-class digital experience for our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying new features and updates for according to stakeholder specifications and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new features for, rapidly fix bugs and solve problems for customers, practice data-informed product development through analytics, A/B testing, etc.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams.  May provide mentoring and guidance to other developers.
  • Demonstrates technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team. Contributes to strategic direction for teams.
  • Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for company and customers.
  • Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customer, and vendors on complex issues.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs, create, and maintain software documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site. Stay abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

  • Preferred experience with headless cms systems, Gatsby, GraphQL, React, JAMstack
  • Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript application development, including asynchronous programming, Promises, ES6. Strong knowledge of the server-side JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js)
  • Familiarity with web application hosting in AWS or Netlify
  • Experience designing and documenting data structures, architecture, and process flows for websites, web-based applications, SDKs, and APIs.
  • Proven working experience in web programming, along with in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS and responsive, mobile first web development
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
  • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools with basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate with colleagues, both in person and remote.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

Other Information

​​​​​​Position Pay Range: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00. This range is estimated for the Full Stack Software Engineer in the state of Colorado, USA. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location and experience.
