The Simplot Digital Experience team is a newly formed organization within Simplot comprised of cross-functional, collaborative and digital first individuals with the goal of creating innovative solutions to support the company’s customer-facing digital assets.  We are starting from the ground up and looking for motivated and self-driven individuals to help bring this team to life.


To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring a Digital Asset Librarian to join our team.


The Digital Asset Librarian will work with Corporate Communications and Global Marketing teams to establish a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Strategy and Roadmap. This role will be responsible for implementing process and user management standards, including best practice metadata, taxonomy, permissions and workflows that span the company’s global businesses. The role will lead the alignment of taxonomy across company business units and markets. It will provide support for user accounts, training and will be responsible for establishing and tracking KPIs. Digital Assets represent millions of dollars of investment to showcase and promote our diverse portfolio of products and value add services through websites, social media, videos and other channels.  The DAM librarian will be responsible for overseeing and owning the management of these assets. This position will also need to provide data on asset usage and effectiveness to leadership and business units to help inform decision making, which will result in cost savings, time efficiency, data security, brand identity control, self-service, improved knowledge management, Power e-commerce and reduced time to market.  The DAM Librarian will serve as the primary contact for approved assets, asset issues and asset reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain DAM strategy and 1, 2 & 3 year roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain taxonomy and metadata.
  • Lead the data and asset migration process, cleaning and mapping assets.
  • Train internal and external DAM users.
  • DAM reporting and KPI development and measuring.
  • Monitor and audit DAM assets to governance standards.
  • Work with IT, business and vendors to configure workflows and integrations
  • Develop and maintain DAM user access and rights management
Typical Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training
  • Experienced in Digital Asset Management practice.   
  • Ability to design systems for tagging images and cataloging taxonomy.  
  • Basic design/production knowledge of various file types and SEO. 
  • Superior organizational and follow-through skills. 
  • Strong analytical thinking.   
  • Continuing commercial awareness of trends and technical advances.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Degree in Library Science a plus.
