Delivery Analyst II

Summary

This position is for a mid-level Functional Analyst with a strong focus on Supply Chain capabilities, including demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and inventory optimization.

 

Simplot is on a transformational journey focused on delivering value to our customers—both now and in the future. Initially, this role will focus on gaining a strong understanding of our legacy Global Food Supply Chain suite of tools. The role will also involve learning and supporting the broader technology architecture that integrates master and transactional data into and out of these systems.

 

In parallel, there will be opportunities to begin learning Simplot’s future-state SAP toolset, providing a foundation for long-term growth across the Global Food Supply Chain application landscape and potential exposure to other business units.


This role will report onsite in Boise, ID. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of support, enhancement, and project-related work.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop use cases and corresponding UAT test cases.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and define effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other Technology & Digital Services (T&DS) teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work with senior team members to ensure solutions align with Simplot standards and established design patterns.
  • Support adherence to information security policies and standards by assisting the business in assessing risks and applying appropriate controls.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support, including evenings and weekends, on an ad-hoc basis as business needs require.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university.

Relevant Experience

  • 1+ years minimum related indsutry experience and/or training.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write, understand, debug queries and stored procedures; SSIS experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes or supply chain applications is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new domains.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Other Information

  • Experience working in an IT development environment, including participation in one or more full release cycles.
  • Basic understanding of modern software development methodologies, information security practices, and data management concepts.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and software configuration management (SCM).
  • Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, test scripting, and testing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of database administration concepts.
  • Strong meeting planning, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience contributing to one or more complete project lifecycles.
  • Strong attention to detail and a foundational understanding of standard business processes.
