Summary

The Communications Change Manager supports the delivery of communication strategies that enable successful business transformation and change initiatives across Global Food. This role focuses on employee engagement and readiness during change, ensuring clear, timely, and compelling messaging. It is a support role, partnering with project teams and leaders to drive adoption and minimize resistance.

  • Act as a trusted partner to project teams and leads, ensuring communication aligns with strategic objectives. Ensuring communication plans effectively supports business transformation and change initiatives across Global Food.
  • Deliver clear, timely, and engaging messaging to help employees understand, accept, and adopt changes with confidence. Contribute to a positive employee experience throughout the change journey.
  • Manager provides communication support for external communications and reputation through media relations, digital channels, and crisis communication planning, ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Supports broader team communication initiatives as required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Change Communication Plans

The Communications Change Manager is responsible for developing and implementing change communication strategies that support organizational initiatives such as acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and cultural transformation. This includes designing and executing communication plans that clearly articulate objectives and impacts, creating messaging frameworks and timelines, and establishing feedback loops to ensure clarity and alignment. The role also monitors effectiveness and adjusts strategies based on analytics and employee feedback to optimize engagement and adoption.

 

Collaborate with HR and Project Leads to Enable and Embed Change

The role works closely with HR, project leads, and business stakeholders to ensure communication is integrated into change activities and supports the embedment of change. Rather than leading change management, the Communications Change Manager provides guidance and influences decisions  on stakeholder engagement, leadership messaging, and communication sequencing to minimize disruption. The role helps embed change by reinforcing desired behaviors, promoting adoption through clear “what/why/when/how” messaging, aligning leader toolkits and talking points, and coordinating post‑go‑live follow‑ups (e.g., pulse checks, reinforcement messages, and recognition of early wins) to sustain the change over time.

 

Lead Internal Communications for Change and Transformation

The Communications Change Manager develops internal communication materials that enable understanding and readiness for change. This includes preparing leadership updates, FAQs, toolkits, and employee resources that explain what is changing and why. The role also facilitates two‑way communication channels to capture employee sentiment and address concerns proactively, ensuring employees feel informed and supported throughout the process.

 

Support Media Monitoring, Reputation and Risk Management

Provide communication support for external communications and reputation management through media relations, digital channels, and crisis communication planning, ensuring alignment with global standards. While the primary focus of the the role is change communication, the role also provides broader communication support as required, including assisting with crisis communication planning and execution.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

8+ years related experience and/or training
