Summary
The Agronomy Intern is part of the Plant Sciences research team and supports activities aimed toward improving agricultural crops. The work week would be a 5 day, 8 hour-per-day schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Field Trial Support
- Assist with planning, planting, and monitoring field trials for biotech potato lines.
- Help collect data on plant performance, disease resistance, and other traits.
Data Analysis & Presentation
- Organize and analyze trial data using Excel or statistical software.
- Help prepare charts, summaries, and presentations for internal teams.
Greenhouse & Lab Work
- Participate in greenhouse experiments and plant care.
- Support basic plant pathology tasks, such as disease scoring or sample preparation.
Regulatory Data Preparation
- Help compile trial results and documentation needed for regulatory submissions.
- Learn about compliance standards and biotech crop approval processes.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with scientists, agronomists, and regulatory specialists.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on trial progress and commercialization strategy.
Typical Education
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university in Biology, Plant Sciences, Agronomy, or Agricultural Sciences
