About Our Role
An exciting opportunity exists for the permanent full-time position of Human Resources (HR) Advisor at our Ulverstone food manufacturing facility. Simplot Ulverstone has a proud history in the local community and processes around 300,000 tonnes of potatoes from 165 Tasmanian growers each year whilst employing over 450 people.
Reporting to the HR Manager within a supportive team environment, this opportunity will support site based Human Resources activities that span across the functions of Production / Maintenance & Engineering / Health, Safety & Wellbeing / Accounting / Quality / Continuous Improvement.
What You Will Do
You will provide generalist HR support for the delivery of essential employee lifecycle processes and services including (but not limited to)
- Participate in site safety initiatives
- Performance management
- Onboarding & Offboarding
- Employee and industrial relations advice
- HR administration - maintaining HR system changes and income protection paperwork
- Coordination of on-site HR communications
- Coordination of rosters
- Management of employee queries related to payroll, HR, policy and procedures
- Legal and regulatory compliance, adherence to internal operating procedures with the management of business risks
- Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities
About You
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or have demonstrated experience (5 years minimum) within a HR Generalist role
- Ability to influence
- Experience with SAP Success Factors will be advantageous
- Possess a collaborative and personable approach with a trait of resilience
- You can demonstrate both positive and objective communication skills
- Ability to build relationships & partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders from factory based production employees through to senior company management
- Possess a 100% commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Intermediate to advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite of products
