Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which include operation of application equipment including tractors, delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance and fertilizer blending. 

Key Responsibilities

Product application, calibrating application equipment, application equipment maintenance, and cleaning and storing application equipment
Assist in loading/mixing/applying pesticides, gaining understanding of the importance of including proper adjuvants, mixing order, temperature, other field/weather conditions potentially influencing application.
Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
General plant equipment maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities.
Receiving and unloading product deliveries and warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
Misc. duties such as special projects, attending provided trainings, providing back-up when/where needed.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

Valid driver’s license
One plus years related experience.
Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation.
Knowledge of the local geography/roads/farms and ability to develop trust with management that moderate to heavy traffic can be negotiated effectively.
Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment.
Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment.
Ability to set up and calibrate injection equipment is a plus.
