Sulfuric/Granulation Supervisor (Rock Springs, WY)

Summary

This role manages daily activities in the Granulation, Water treatment, and Sulfuric acid plants in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Accountable to maximize operational efficiencies and to ensure the safety of all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed in a consistent manner.
  • Conduct formal safety meetings.
  • Provide leadership and direction for 12-hour rotation crew.
  • Prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Schedule work assignments and overtime.
  • Participate in company safety awareness program.
  • Ensure safety and environmental events are documented, communicated, and investigated.
  • Responsible for employee development and training.
  • Communicate and support organizational changes.
  • Work with other departments to minimize overall impact to plant operations.

Typical Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training
  • Chemical plant experience.
  • Knowledge of chemical processing equipment and control systems.

Other Information

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Well organized.
  • Proficient in computer use; word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in an office and plant environment
