Summary

We currently have a Process / Chemical Engineering Intern position available at our Frontier Building Location in Pocatello, ID. This position will assist the Mining & Manufacturing Process Engineering department with project-related initiatives as assigned. The position is a full-time internship starting in 2024. The preference is for an internship lasting at least 8 months.

Key Responsibilities

Duties provide meaningful work experience and business knowledge to college students in pursuit of a chemical engineering degree.

• Performs routine aspects of process engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision

• May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

• Assists with lab and pilot-scale testing and evaluation

• Collects and prepares data for evaluation.

• May assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations

• Handles various administrative duties

• Provides support to staff members as needed

• May provide support for multiple facilities across the Mining & Manufacturing business unit

Typical Education

• Working toward a BS in Chemical / Processing Engineering

Relevant Experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment

• Able to keep up in a fast paced work environment

• Fluent in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
