QA Coordinator (Days) Pasco, WA

Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for performing all duties and responsibilities which entail verifications of product specifications for received product goods. Will assist in the management of quality assurance training and verification activities for all phases of production, packaging and laboratory operations to assure compliance with the quality and food safety systems. Participates in maintaining quality assurance related programs such as standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Follows safe work policies and practices to ensure no injury to self or others.
• Must follow the good manufacturing practices and policies
• Ensures equipment in assigned areas of unit operations are monitored and maintained.
• Document retention for COAs and other product receiving paperwork
• Verifies that COA matches required specifications
• Verifies that product matches COAs upon receipt
• Samples and inspects purchased products to verify Quality and spec compliance
• Promptly communicates findings that fall outside allowable limits
• Reviews product inventory to add disposition in the system
• Performs internal verifications of the plant and programs
• Performs quality standardization audits across all shifts
• Follows up with product sampling as needed
• Maintain inventory for quality lab supplies and retention samples
• Understanding of HACCP program
• Understanding of FSMA program
• Other duties assigned by department management
• Supports QA lead as needed
