Summary
This role supervises, directs and coordinates activities in supply and receiving, in a cost effective manner, with inventory control of parts and materials for preventative, routing and emergency repair of equipment essential to the operation of all production lines and plant facilities. Manages the procurement of goods and services, such as equipment, systems, engineering, installation, construction, supplies, and services for the continuous operation of the facility.
This position sits in Othello, WA. Relocation assistance is not offered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the stockroom personnel in a cost-effective manner by directing and monitoring the store system and inventory to assure availability of parts and materials to reduce plant downtime. Order and control stock inventories to include calling in orders, expediting parts and materials, identify obsolete parts and return to vendors.
- Oversee and coordinate all stockroom activities, including but not limited to: receiving, storage and shipping; inventory control; issuing of stockroom inventory by automated inventory control; materials quality control; obsolete inventory management; management and evaluation of stockroom personnel; parts reconciliation.
- Provide training to users on the purchasing/inventory systems, troubleshoot problems, and help set up User Accounts; ensure written instructions exist and are utilized detailing purchasing procedures.
- Yearly fiscal inventory; on call evenings, weekends and holidays to assist in emergencies; oversee stockroom employees and deal with personnel issues.
- Generate required reports on a daily, monthly, yearly basis. In addition, assists by coordinating received not vouchered RNV resolution.
- Manage the procurement of goods and services by defining the requirement, maintaining the selection process, and issuing an agreement. Responsibilities in these three areas include developing technical specifications and work scopes, sourcing and qualifying potential suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms and conditions, selecting the best supplier for the project, issuing a contract, and managing and following up on contract terms. Manage the liability insurance documentation and requirements, with all vendors and contractors.

Other Information
Basic knowledge of parts and materials. Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and Access; familiarity with working in databases and operating and inventory systems.
Skills: Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and parts manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to do basic accounting skills, such as calculating figures and amounts, discounts, interest, percent's, area and volumes. Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees and vendors. Ability to understand, complete, and give instructions, written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work with vendors and suppliers, to negotiate the best possible deal, in the most effective manner. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to supervise employees and deal with personnel issues on a 24 hour/7 day a week basis.
