Summary

As a trusted Senior HR Advisor partner to site leadership and employees, you’ll lead and support core HR initiatives to drive engagement, build capability, and foster a positive workplace culture

NOTE* this role does sit in Othello, WA & would require relocation if you don't currently reside in this area(Simplot would relocate the right candidate & their family if it turns out to be the right fit)!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to support organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and change initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, practices, and employment laws to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Counsels managers and supervisors on discipline and termination procedures. May recruit and manage selection process for both hourly and salaried positions. May also conduct exit interviews and advise management of key issues. 
  • Coach leaders through difficult conversations, team dynamics, and employee development opportunities.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with EEO regulations, including development of Affirmative Action Plan, Utilization Analyses and any required reporting and Vet-100. Involved in preparation of annual Affirmative Action plan, Utilization, and Progress reports. Oversees employee record maintenance, including increases, new hires, terminations, and all other job changes.     
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and onboarding efforts in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
  • Champion employee engagement by facilitating feedback mechanisms and action planning.
  • Lead or support investigations and resolution of employee concerns with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams on projects related to retention, and process improvement.
  • Oversees company programs such as Service Awards, United Way events, and other employee functions. Manages donation/public relations budget. Supports community relations and participates in local community functions and activities to enhance the company image in local area.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

Relevant Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Deep understanding of HR practices, labor law, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.

Required Certifications

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Wage range or rate of pay: $78,000 - $85,000 annually, plus annual incentive plan eligibility.

The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons.
