Summary
Under limited supervision, this role prepares tax returns for the JR Simplot Company and affiliates in a timely manner. Assures company compliance with regulations. Administrator for income tax preparation software, including the consolidation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.
- Keeps informed about appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
- Helps junior staff learn the appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.
- Reviews and prepares tax returns for the organization in a timely manner as required by law. Gathers all necessary information.
- Organizes/understands the tax department computer system. Administrator for income tax preparation software, which includes the consolidation process. Maps the new JDE account structure to the tax return.
