Maintenance Clerk (Days) - Moses Lake, WA

Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance planning and scheduling functions and supports maintenance and production departments.  This position will be responsible for collecting, inputting, updating and organizing Work Requests and Work Orders as they are scheduled.  Other duties will involve typing memos, sending correspondence, locating and organizing documentation on equipment and parts along with general office work.

The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the Maintenance and Production departments and make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of moving equipment and other potential safety hazards in a production plant.
• Ensures necessary level of communication is maintained with the appropriate personnel.
• Creates new JDE equipment numbers
• Maintains BOMs for all equipment and does routinely audits
• Monitors parts checked out of the stock room to ensure they are checked out to the correct pieces of equipment.
• Supports mechanics when they need help finding part numbers or equipment information
• Maintains preventative maintenance routes for mechanics
• Prints pocket cards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Relevant Experience

Other Information

Good knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Ability to learn new software systems. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
