Summary

Specializes in providing international customer and logistics services by demonstrating success in order and shipment execution while adhering to implemented supply chain policy and procedures. This role specializes in the processing of international orders by supporting the front end (customer set up, order set up and order receipt) processing, then by supporting the back end (shipment set up, shipping, documentation, final and post delivery) processing, all while aiming to meet customer needs and supply chain performance targets. This senior position is also expected to identify and lead initiatives to become more effective and efficient in overall international services support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates regularly with team members and management to inform on international service operations activities as well as identifies and drives solutions for process improvement.
  • Interact and lead initiatives with multiple departments to ensure all requirements for inventory, quality, and regulatory concerns are met
  • Lead and train team members in relevant processing updates and execution as they relate to international services.
  • Set clear direction and organize work daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Responsible for receiving customer orders and processing orders through information systems. Resolves problems with equipment, loading, and claims.
  • Maintain order management discrepancies and communications as it relates to orders and shipments while facilitating the process to enhance efficiency.
  • Initiate required action for responding to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files and communicate changes to the appropriate personnel/departments
  • Identify and communicate current or future transportation issues, as well as recovery plans
  • Maintain sales and international shipments records and prepare reports.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Develop subject matter expert knowledge and experience on identified process and subject within the international supply chain.
  • Develops reports and implements processes to meet and adhere to KPI targets relating to international order and shipment services.

Typical Education

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.  A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Relevant Experience

  • 5 years equivalent experience in supply chain.
  • Advanced experience in dealing with complex transportation and warehouse operations.
  • In depth experience in logistics, transportation, and Warehousing including industry terminology.
  • Competent computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and ERPs such as SAP, JDE, or other.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with teammates and managers to build a strong working relationship, as well as function under minimal supervision.
  • Proven self-discipline, demonstrated time management and communication skills to work unsupervised, make decisions, and lead initiatives when required.
  • Ability to influence and work with other people, departments, and organizations efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop team members and associated department members.

Wage range or rate of pay: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, plus annual incentive plan eligibility
