Summary
In a manner consistent with the Simplot Sales Process and go-to-market strategies for the Food Service Division, the Account Representative (AR) will be primarily responsible for meeting the annual sales objectives in the assigned territory through the successful development and execution of a local market sales plan with a priority focus on key leverage operators found within those segments considered priority for Simplot. In addition, the AR will work with the Region Sales Manager and assigned distributors to ensure accessibility of Simplot products and cooperation on programs and related support. The AR role is an entry level role within the Simplot Food Service selling organization and will part of a Region Sales Team led by a Region Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and follow up on Joint Business Plans with strategic partners, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and measurable outcomes
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through the funnel using the WOW methodology, ensuring consistent opportunity development and conversion
- Deliver structured training programs for Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs) and Operators
- Coordinate sales forecasting and demand planning inputs with Distributors and Key Accounts
- Provide commercial support to Distributors and Operators, including product showcases (cutting, boat test & tasting) and culinary workshops
Typical Education
| Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university |
Relevant Experience
8+ years related experience and/or training
Other Information
- Demonstrated understanding of sales and foodservice industry knowledge preferred.
- Dynamic personality, quick learner, positive attitude, great work ethic and flexibility.
- Capable of multi-tasking to manage unexpected demands from daily activities.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Presentation.
- Being self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to influence others while being professional in conduct and presentation is key.
- Culinary skills are desirables
