An exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Supply Chain team as our Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Supply Chain Finance Manager, you will provide analysis, advice and recommendation in relation to Logistics. Lead and coordinate the planning and budgeting process and preparation of various management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ensure effective reporting and control of financial transactions, including capital expenditure. Evaluate new business opportunities across Logistics by developing business cases and analysing proposals.

What will you do

 

  • Support Logistics in development and validation of productivity opportunities, capital initiatives and strategic projects
  • Provide best in class business partnering to our logistics team
  • Implement efficient and effective financial planning, reporting and processes
  • Assist in the delivery of weekly, EOM, forecasts and budgets for Logistics
  • Demonstrate an understanding of customer, consumer, competitor and market impacts on our business
  • Participate in the monthly Sales & Operating Planning (S&OP) process, analysing and forecasting financial implications for Logistics
  • Oversee end to end control of all freight standards
  • Provide financial insight and governance with regards to capital projects and productivity for Logistics
  • Support the development and execution of strategies and projects
  • Build internal relationships across the business to help facilitate information flow and decision making
  • Preparation of sound balance sheet reconciliations, post capital audits, Fixed asset and inventory stock takes and audits

What will you bring

 

  • Experience in FMCG, Supply Chain preferable, Logistics considered favourably
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial information systems, JDE/SAP preferred
  • CPA qualified or working towards this
  • Experience with EOM, budget and business case development processes
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and forecasting skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex issues
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and influence others with strong communication skills

 

As an Accounting professional, you will bring sound financial management skills such as balance sheet reconciliations, capital expenditure and product costings.  You should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of financial information systems and have strong Excel skills. Your proactive nature and strong work ethic will allow you to work well within a team environment.
