EDM Analyst

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join us as our EDM Analyst based at our Mentone head office.

Reporting into the APAC Enterprise Data Management Team Leader, you will be primarily responsible for routine / non-routine tasks involving entering, updating, cleansing and maintenance of selected enterprise system master file details. As part of these activities you will ensure the data is accurate, meets the master data standards and business rules and meets the needs of the business.

What will you do

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate completion of master data origination and maintenance requests across multiple enterprise systems.  The EDM Analyst follows robust internal control processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and conforms to business rules and data standards.

The role requires independent judgment and decision-making skills along with strong communication and organizational skills to engage with internal business partners and external customers and suppliers to collect and verify the accuracy of data. Serves as a data steward for at least one master data domain and/or an enterprise system.

• Ensuring master data file updating and maintenance processes are effective, making improvements where required
• Coordinate and follow through master file data maintenance requests to prevent unexpected impacts on Business Intelligence solutions, other enterprise system modules or operational processes
• Analyse system data integrity reports and data processing issues communicated by users, promptly and proactively researching and resolving inconsistent or inaccurate master file details
• Maintaining a clear understanding of enterprise master file relationships to related system files, business processes, and standard system generated reports
• Extract, compile, and validate comparative master file details to ensure Simplot Australia business process and reporting objectives are not impaired by inconsistent or inaccurate data
   

What will you bring

• Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, as well as ability to complete high volumes of work within specified timeframes
• Effective organising and planning skills are required while still being adaptable in dealing with changing situations
• The ability to comprehend process mapping and understand what makes an effective process is important as well as the ability to improve processes
• A working knowledge of business process in relation to master data management is needed, along with the ability to learn and master navigation of various enterprise software and MDM applications
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or a similar system would be desirable  
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Accounting, IT or Engineering
• Advanced skills in Excel would be helpful
