About our role

 

  • Exciting Regional role based in Kelso and across our Bathurst site

What will you do

 

  • Implementing and maintaining compliance of the Simplot Learning Management System 
  • Assisting in the development of job training requirements - Learning Needs Analysis
  • Identifying gap-analysis of personnel training requirements against Learning Needs Analysis
  • Auditing and reporting on training activities and progress within the Site
  • Maintaining training records
  • Managing Site Learning Schedule (Calendar)
  • Supporting Team Leaders and On-Job Trainers with Simplot Work System (including Train-the-Trainer)
  • Coordinating external training providers as required to deliver compliance training requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to continuously improve our Learning Management System to build and enhance capability, reduce waste, and best support the Site.  

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide operational training support to our regional manufacturing sites, to build and enhance the capability of individuals, teams and our operations.  Reporting into the Learning and Development Manager – Supply Chain Operations, this role will ensure compliance of systems and processes to maintain and improve safety, quality, and cost performance.

About you

 

  • You will be team orientated and demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in operational training in line with the Simplot values.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or degree qualified in a related discipline.
  • Recent experience in a similar role ideally in a manufacturing, mining, or an emergency services environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and practical experience in learning delivery.
  • Ability to quickly and constructively work across disciplines, as well as various departments, and teams.
  • Ability to plan and schedule to meet compliance requirements in line with the Site needs.
  • The ability to engage with team members to understand business needs and prioritise training opportunities to best support the Site and the broader Simplot business.
