Warehouse Specialist

Summary

This role will manage the transport, logistics and procurement of the Company’s products within Simplot and internationally to assist in the achievement of sales and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure internal procedures are adhered to and be expected to contribute in the improvement and development of new procedures.
• Accurate and timely completion of all administration activities and reports.
• Build and manage internal/external partnerships in order to enable undertaking of core responsibilities in the most optimal manner from a time management and financial perspective.
• Answer questions (directly or delegate to team) regarding stock availability received from sales staff and direct customer enquires within the same business day.
• Ensure the warehouse out of stock is at minimum whilst maintain optimal inventory level.
• Raise purchase orders in the system with updated price list.
• Enter the product cost price in the system by calculating the freight.
• Responsible for the security and accuracy of the inventory in the warehouse to ensure minimum inventory loss.
• Facilitate and initiate stock movements and transfers as per the prescribed policy within Simplot Partner Branches.
• Responsible for all stock movement in VIC, internationally (APEX) and AAC products line.
• Facilitate stock count in Victoria on a quarterly basis and assist in AAC as well as other Branch stock takes when required.

Relevant Experience

Required Certifications

• Agsafe accreditation
• Forklift Driver's license

Other Information

• Experience in the Transport industry.
• Knowledge of or experience in turf products and techniques an advantage.
• Experience in dealing with employee related issues.
• Experience managing a team (preferable).
• Experience with MYOB, MS Office including Excel.
