Seasonal Ag Clerk - Guadalupe, CA

Summary

Simplot Grower Solutions is looking for a Seasonal Operations Support (Ag Clerk). Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits. The primary responsibility is to perform routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates product delivery to growers at an SGS operation to maximize resources of staff and to meet customer needs by scheduling and dispatching delivery staff in a manner which economically utilizes physical and human resources.
• Provides service to walk-in customers. Receives telephone orders from customers and Sales Representatives. Prepares product mix instruction sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, and work orders. 
• Makes product purchase recommendations to Supervisor/Market Manager to ensure adequate inventory to meet sales and delivery needs. Ensures appropriate receipt and recordkeeping of unit inventory. Performs physical inventory counts.                             
• Performs miscellaneous duties such as filing and other clerical tasks, calculating product amounts, calibrating equipment, loading trucks, general equipment and plant maintenance, product storage activities, bending and warehouse work, etc. 

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• 1+ years related experience and/or training
• Good knowledge of computer systems
• Organizational and communications skills
• Prior experience in an office setting (preferred) 
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to use a 10 key calculator and telephone
