About Our Role

Due to internal growth, an opportunity exists for the permanent full-time position of Services Specialist at our Echuca manufacturing facility. Simplot Echuca's core activity is the production of tomato paste in addition to manufacturing products under our Leggo’s, Edgell, Chicken Tonight, Raguletto and Harvest brands.  On an annual basis we process up to 15,000 tonnes of tomato paste, 8,000 tonnes of beetroot and have five unique packaging lines (glass jars, canning, plastic squeeze bottles, foil sachet and aseptic filling.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, in this Monday to Friday role you will assume responsibility for coordinating and managing the operations of external contractors for site based plant maintenance services & project activities (e.g. boilers / steam, air compressors, refrigeration, forklift etc.) in addition to supporting any continuous improvement activities and incident investigations.

Working closely with the Engineering, Maintenance and Procurement functions - duties will include;
 

• Management of external services contractor activities
  • Ensuring compliance with Simplot WHS policies & procedures (JHA / High Risk Assessments etc.)
  • Site access for contractors
  • Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner to schedule contractor activities
  • Act as the main conduit between the business and external services contractors
• Contribute to site health and safety initiatives

About You

• Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace
• Knowledge of steam / boilers, compressed air systems / refrigeration systems (advantageous)
• Electrical or mechanical trade qualification (advantageous)
• Experienced user of CMMS and CAMS type software (noting that Simplot use MEX CMMS and JDE CAMS)
• Strong contractor management & communication skills with ability to influence
• Knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) processes, tools and techniques
• Problem solving mindset with a high level of attention to detail
• Knowledge of Australian Standards
• Intermediate to advanced user of Windows operating systems (incl. Microsoft Office suite of products)
• Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external (trades, management, production staff etc.)
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening)
