Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing the timely and accurate shipment of finished goods from the facility to various destinations via transport trucks. This role involves daily collaboration with internal teams across all levels and external customers to ensure smooth operations. Flexibility to work overtime may be required to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain organized office systems and filing structures; manage supply orders for both office and stockroom needs.
- Schedule appointments and conference calls
- Route UPS statements and invoices to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate and ensure timely, accurate shipments by working closely with carriers and maintaining proper documentation and communication.
- Deliver exceptional customer service across written, phone, and in person interactions.
- Demonstrate strong initiative, self-direction, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for daily operations and communication.
- Monitor and manage the Sample Request Page and Will Call activities.
- Handle domestic and international shipments using UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and other carriers.
- Perform inventory tasks including cycle counts, stock organization, and system updates.
- Pull and prepare products from the warehouse for shipment.
- Work in cold storage environments as needed.
- Package products for case shipment & dry ice handeling.
- Operate forklifts daily (both stand-up and sit-down models) to support warehouse activities.
- Manage inventory through regular cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor & coordinate with donation clients as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Simplot teams.
- Utilize internal tracking systems to maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency.
- Understand and consider the financial impact of inventory decisions and practices.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Strong understanding of internal policies, procedures, and practices related to warehouse distribution.
- Knowledge of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its application to organizational import/export operations.
- Awareness of the specialized nature of warehouse operations, including coordination with external trucking companies and their personnel.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills for engaging with all levels of internal staff and external partners.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed to support operational demands.
Typical Education
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Customer service background
- Minimum of 1 year hands-on forklift operation experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Required Certifications
Previous Forklift Certification & Experience (1 Year)
