QA Supervisor Pilot Plant Tech Center (Caldwell, ID)

Summary

This role will be for an experienced hands-on Quality Supervisor.  The position will lead the Pilot Plant in all areas of QA – including the site lead for the BRC Program. Facilitates and or participates in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance related programs such as HACCP, SSOP’s, and GMP’s.  Assure USDA/FDA directives are followed. Supervises the development and maintenance of pilot plant equipment procedures and specifications. This role uses skills and knowledge to oversee the development of new equipment strategies as well as the development of extensions to existing line products. Statistical and processing knowledge are used to support all departments in the continued building of quality and production strategies

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain records and standards in accordance with BRC Sections 1-7
  • Coordinate GMP audits for Pilot Plant to maintain standards
  • Maintain training records for the Pilot Plant Team
  • Thorough knowledge of HACCP program and USDA SSOPs
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations
  • Provide technical services support toward ingredient and new product development
  • Operate Pilot Plant Equipment

 

Typical Education

  • Technical/vocational certificate or equivalent - or - 
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

3+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) required
  • HAACP preferred
  • GMP preferred

Other Information

  • Excellent organizational and people skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence people at all organization levels
  • Ensure compliance to state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking, work autonomously and as a team member
  • Maintain systems for checking and verifying process compliance, including, but not limited to: SPC, HACCP, Quality Systems, Formula Control, etc.
