SUMMARY

Provides the day to day maintenance of the mill, facilities and grounds to promote the effective and efficient use of the business resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates equipment, hand tools and power tools for the repair of the mill, fabrication and general operations. 
  • Maintain and repair equipment to ensure the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Knowledge of augers, rollers and grain handling is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
